Hey Y’all! I’m excited to share this one with you because it is SO stinkin easy and delicious!! Plus, it makes your whole house smell super yummy! The reason I even to decided to make Apple Butter is because our sweet neighbors stopped by with a huge box of fresh farm grown apples! I knew Josh and I wouldn’t be able to eat all of them before they went bad and I didn’t want them to go to waste. So I pulled out the crockpot and got creative 🙂
Here’s what you’ll need!
INGREDIENTS :Â
– 15-20 apples, peeled and chopped
– 1/2 cup apple juice
– 1 cup sugar
– 1 cup brown sugar
– 1 tsp vanilla
– dash of ground cloves
– dash of ground cinnamon
– pinch of salt
– juice from 1 lemon
DIRECTIONS :
Add all ingredients to large crockpot and mix well. Cook on high for 4 hours. Remove from crockpot and add to large blender. Pulse in blender until smooth but not liquified. Add back to crockpot and cook on high for another 4 hours, stirring occasionally. Then add to jar and store in refrigerator 🙂
You’re going to love this one! Great on toast, banana bread, biscuits, are even with a spoon 🙂
