Flatbreads are one of my favorite foods to cook. Not only because they are delicious, but because they feel so fancy yet are so easy to prepare! You can get as creative as you like with these, there is no right or wrong way to do it!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 medium flatbread
  • 3 tbsp classic marinara
  • 8 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cooked chicken
  • 1/4 red onion, sliced
  • 3 pieces of thick cut bacon, diced
  • goat cheese

DIRECTIONS:

Set your oven to 400 degrees. Bake flatbread on cooking stone or baking sheet for 7-8 minutes. While in the oven you can prepare all the toppings. First for the BBQ marinara sauce mix 4 tbsp of BBQ sauce with 3 tbsp marinara sauce (yep, that’s it) and set aside. Now pan fry your bacon until desired texture (I cooked mine just enough to where it started to crisp up). Put bacon in a bowl and set aside. Now sauté sliced onions in bacon grease. Once caramelized set aside. Lastly mix remaining 4 tbsp of BBQ into your shredded chicken.

Now we assemble! First spread your BBQ marinara on the flat bread, then evenly spread out the chicken. Next is the bacon and onions and top with desired amount of goat cheese! You can never have too much goat cheese in my book!

Place flatbread back in oven for an additional 10 minute. Serve immediately!
